Dr. Jay Clune and Dr. Patrick Moore of University of West Florida (UWF) presented their "Next Exit History" program to citizens at the Walton County Heritage Museum in DeFuniak Springs on Saturday, February 13. The powerpoint presentation outlined the innovative heritage tourism project funded by the Florida Humanities Council. The new technology driven "Next Exit History" project will help direct travelers off the interstates in Florida to nearby historic sites and communities.

Dr. Clune is history department chair at UWF and Dr. Moore directs public history areas and is a heritage tourism expert. Dr. Clune donated a signed copy of his new book Historic Pensacola to the Heritage Museum. The Walton County Heritage Association assisted in hosting the event.
