Airis M. Norris, 86, of Estero, FL, formerly of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Life Care Center in Estero, FL. She was born on May 15, 1919 in Ponce de Leon, FL to James and Della Holmes Brannon.
Norris was Baptist by faith and a former member of the James Lee Road Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach as well as the former Bonita Beach Baptist Church.
Norris is preceded in death by her parents and ten brothers and sisters.
Norris is survived by two sons, Chester L. Norris and wife, Barbara, of Tuscaloosa, AL and Joe Wesley Norris and wife, Joyce, of Bonita Springs; her twin sister, Lois Lingafelt, of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, FL.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2006, at the Ponce de Leon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Optimist International Foundation, Children Cancer Research, P.O. Box 952126, St. Louis, MO 63195-2126.
