Albert Burgess, age 83, of DeFuniak Springs passed away February 9, 2008. He was born October 27, 1924, one of 16 children of Ovella and Hiram Burgess, who all preceded him in death.
Albert Burgess had been a resident of DeFuniak Springs. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Leonia Baptist Church. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Road Construction for many years. He enjoyed working on Antique cars and farming.
Albert was also preceded in death by his wife Lila Burgess.
Albert is survived by his two sons Albert Ray Burgess and wife Mary of Naples, Florida and Michael Dewitt Burgess and wife Teresa of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; three daughters Brenda Joyce Armstrong and husband Michael of Naples, Florida, Linda Dianne Aughtman and husband Dale of Opp, Alabama and Wanda Sue Rodriguez and [Fiancé] Brian Coley of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
