Bessie L. Linton, 80, passed away June 10, 2006. She was born Dec. 30, 1925 in Ponce de Leon, FL to Richard and Lela Commander Lewis.
Linton had been a resident of Walton County most of her life. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing.
Linton was predeceased by her father and mother; her husband, Louie H. Linton; one sister, Esther Odel, and one daughter, Dawn Linton.
Linton is survived by her son, Lonnie Linton, of Bruce, FL; two daughters, Janice Linton, of Bruce, FL, and Rita Morgan and husband, Tommy Morgan Sr., of Havannah, FL; one brother, Cletus Lewis of Berryville, WV; two grandchildren, Tommy Morgan Jr. and Gail Morgan Page; three great-
grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were conducted, Monday, June 12, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Revs. Mike McVay, Josh Wynn, and Joel Glenn officiating.
Burial followed in the Euchee Valley Cemetery.
