Casper Ray Ammons

Casper Ray Ammons, 90, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006. He was born Dec. 16, 1915 in Walton County, FL, to Marion and Mary Ann Hatcher Ammons.

Ammons had been a life-long resident of Walton County. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater and South Pacific in the United States Navy as a chief petty officer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #157 F&AM, Ponce Leon, FL.

Ammons was predeceased by his father and mother, and wife, Perline Alma Ammons.

Ammons is survived by his sister, Myrtle Bullard, of Panama City, FL; one sister-in-law, Winoma Ammons, of Ponce de Leon; a special niece, Linda Simmons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
