Mr. Charles Smith, age 69, of Freeport, Florida passed away September 1, 2007 in Panama City, Florida. He was born August 5, 1938 in Gypsy, Pennsylvania to his father and mother, Leon and Inez Smith.
Charles was a resident of Walton County for the past 32 years, he was Baptist by faith and a member of the South Walton Baptist Church.
Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Linda Smith, one son, Charlie Smith both of Freeport, Florida; one daughter, Kim Wesley and husband Sam of Seagrove, Florida; two brothers, Rudell Smith of Kittanning, Pensylvania and Bob Smith of Gypsy, Pennsylvania and two sisters, Maxie Connor of Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania and Jean Savel of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Charles is also survived by three grandchildren, Houston Wesley, Trent Short and one grandchild expected later in the year.
A time of visitation will be held 6:00~8:00 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20 Freeport, Florida 32439. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Walter Campbell officiating. Floral arrangements are being accepted. Burial will follow at Hatcher Cemetery.
