Chelsey Marie Sword, 11, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2005. She was born in April 23, 1994 in Crestview, FL, to Joseph and Lesley Sword.
Chelsey was Baptist by faith. She was a 6th-grade student at Walton Middle School. She was a straight A student. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving person; she excelled in beauty pageants, having received several awards. She enjoyed writing poetry, and she enjoyed driving down dirt roads on her four-wheeler. She was loved very much and will truly be missed by everyone.
Chelsey is survived by her mother, Lesley Peacock Sword of DeFuniak; brother, Brian Sword, of DeFuniak Springs; grandparents, Nancy Cannady of DeFuniak Springs and Wesley Peacock, of Samson, AL, Carol Sword, of DeFuniak Springs, and the late Percy Sword; aunt, Julie Peacock, and uncle, Tommy Fortier. She is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services were conducted, Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at the Chapel of Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Dr. James Johnson and Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
Burial followed in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
