Christine Hamilton Blakemore

Christine Hamilton Blakemore, 81, passed away Feb.15, 2006 in DeFuniak Springs, FL. She was born Aug. 30, 1924 in Walton County, Florida, to Mack and Amanda Infinger Hamilton.

Blakemore had been at life-long resident of Walton County and attended Cornerstone Church. She worked as a beautician for over 30 years in DeFuniak Springs and Florala. She enjoyed family reunions and family outings, putting forth an extra effort to prepare meals for her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters and going to church and serving the Lord.

Blakemore was predeceased by her father and mother, and husband, Max Blakemore; five brothers, Howard, Hub, Les, Ira, and Roy Hamilton; four sisters, Ruby Wilson, Gerri Bell, Lucille Hales, Rushie McBroom; one daughter, Lana Carol Blakemore.

Blakemore is survived by her two sons, Dennis Blakemore and wife, Diane, of Murphy, N.C. and Terry Blakemore and wife, Denette, of Murfreesboro,
TN.; and daughter, Janet Campbell and husband, Bob, of DeFuniak Springs; five grandchildren, Lana Campbell, Kimberly Campbell, Elisha Campbell and wife, Tracy, Evan Blakemore and Lee Blakemore; and sister, Janice Whitfield, of Milton, FL.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at the-chapel of Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Doyle Redwine officiating.

Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery.
