Daniel L. Scott, Jr.

D. L. Scott Jr., 73, of Bridge Creek Community, passed away Oct. 18, 2006 in Crestview, FL. He was born Oct. 23, 1932 in Holmes County, FL to Daniel and Ida Commander Scott.

Scott had been a lifelong resident of the Bridge Creek community in Holmes County. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Bridge Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces serving his country in the U. S. Air Force and Army National Guard. He worked as a carpenter with Mayo Cabinet Shop and Alford Construction.

Scott was predeceased by his father and mother; five brothers, Oliver, Author, Toliver, Walter and Dallas, and two sisters, Emma Hattaway and Viola Helms.

Scott is survived by his two sister-in-laws, Jree Scott and Eula Dee Scott, both of Bridge Creek community. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Scott officiating.

Burial followed in Sandy Creek Cemetery.
