Dorothy Bell Watts

Dorothy Bell Watts was born December 26, 1929, in Apalachicola, FL to Joseph Bell and Louise McLean Bell. She went home to be with Jesus on November 16, 2006.

Watts was raised in DeFuniak Springs, FL where she graduated from Tivoli High School in 1948. She furthered her education at Alabama State University, where she majored in elementary education and was a member of the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority.

Dorothy Bell Watts married the love of her life, Lewis C. Watts, “LC”as she affectionately called him. A daughter, Rosalind, was born to this union.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Curt Brutan; brothers, Richard Bell and Henry Bell, and sister, Octavia Bell Guinyard. She leaves to cherish precious memories, one daughter, Rosalind Watts (Romeo) Kinsler of Orlando; grandchildren, Raphael and Rachel Kinsler; sisters; Annie L. McLendon, Jean (Grover) Crawford, Bessie (Willie James) Harris of Orlando, and Anna Jordan Williams of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Thomas (Savannah) Jordan of DeFuniak Springs) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
