Evelyn Ilene Cosson, 76, born on March 31, 1930 in DeFuniak Springs, FL to Ross and Velma Infinger Rhodes. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Sunday School Class.
Survivors are her husband, Douglas Cosson, of DeFuniak Springs; eight daughters, Linda Sue Martin, of Gritney, FL, Lillie Mae Miller, of Shalimar, FL, Mary Alice Champion, of DeFuniak Springs, Mavelene Adkinson and husband, Gralyn, of Pace, FL, Margene Gillis and husband, Donnie, of DeFuniak Springs, Glenda Jean Rushing and husband, Travis, of Ponce de Leon, FL, Christine Pierce, of Panama City, FL, and Lisa Denise Eatmon, of DeFuniak Springs; three sons, Calvin Cosson and wife, Elizabeth, of Athens, GA, Steven Cosson, of DeFuniak Springs, and Tracy Cosson and wife, Susan, of DeFuniak Springs; one sister, Betty Lou Bengston, and husband, Mack, of DeFuniak Springs; one brother, Eugene Rhodes, of DeFuniak Springs; nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, and special family friend, Jimmy Hall.
A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, with Revs. Larry Watts, Owen Smith and Mike McVay officiating.
Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Walter Nelson, Ray Curry, Johnny Scott, H.D. Cosson, T.C. Cosson, Joseph Cosson, Michael Bowers, Adam Cosson, and Bennie Cosson. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Young at Heart Sunday School Class.
Floral arrangements are being accepted.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
