Fred B. Turner, Sr, age 84, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, died at home on Friday, February 17, 2006.
He was born in Troy, AL. He was former president of Florida Insurance and Real Estate, former station manager of National Airlines and a past Potentate of Bahia Shrine Temple in Orlando.
Turner is survived by his wife Maudree Brown Turner; his son Fred Turner Jr, of Perry, FL; three stepsons, David, J.R., and Ron; one stepdaughter Debra; two granddaughters, seven step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, and two nieces and three nephews.
Turner was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Services were held at the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Interment was at the Crowder Chapel Cemetery, with the Eastern Star OES-Chapter 115 conducting the interment service. Pall bearers were Mike Williamson, James E. Brannan, James Nance and David Nance.
Trahan Family Funeral Home, 430 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL was in charge of arrangements.
