Griffin R. Pippin

Funeral services for Griffin R. Pippin, 76, of Bartow, will be 2 p.m. Saturday [April 10, 1971] in the Damascus Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Register officiating. Mr. Pippin died Tuesday In Bartow.

Mr. Pippin, a veteran of World War I, had been a resident of Bartow since 1945 and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors Include his wife, Mrs. Grace Sweeney Pippin; a son, Leonard C. Pippin of Hollywood; five stepsons, Clarance Brogen of Van Nuys, Calif., Lewis Brogen of Mobile Ala., Charles Brogen of Burbank, Calif., and William Brogan of Lakeland; two stepdauqhters, Mrs. Callie Kelly of Pensacola and Mrs. Evelyn Roberts of Gordon, Ala.; two brothers, Lambert Pippin of Niceville and Richard Pippin of Lynn Haven, and four sisters, Mrs. Millie Godwin of Portland, Mrs. Denora Brown of Niceville, Mrs. Maybell Floyd of Ponce DeLeon and Mrs. Esther Bryant of West Bay, Fla.

Burial will be in Hatcher Cemetery with Clary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
