Inez Palmer Bryan

Inez Palmer Bryan, 78, passed away Dec; 28, 2005, following a lingering illness with Alzheimer disease. She was born Oct.13, 1927 in Walton County, Florida, to James and Kate Carnley Palmer.

Bryan had spent the last several years in the Pensacola, FL area, having lived with her sister and special caregiver, Juanita Posey. She then had to be placed in the Pensacola Health Center Nursing Home.

Born and raised in Walton County, she lived most of her life in the Cluster Springs community, having attended the Liberty Assembly of God Church.

Bryan was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, Tommie H. Bryan; her only child, a son, Tommie Gene Bryan; brothers, James and Melvin Palmer.

Bryan is survived by her grandson, Tommie Dale Bryan; two granddaughters, Tammy and Theresa; daughters in law, Sandra Bryan; step-grandson, James Griggs, and four great-grandchildren. She was the eldest child of Jim and Kate Palmer, and she left behind four brothers, Millard, of Children’s Home community, Marvin, of Milton, FL, Edward of Albany, GA, and Hughie, of Wewahitchka, FL; five sisters, Juanita Posey, of Pensacola, Myrtle Grimes, of Molino, FL, Geraldine Cawthon, of [Brewton], AL, Verty Sasser of Andalusia, AL, and Betty Locke, of Cantonment, FL.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Liberty Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Jeff Cain officiating.

Burial followed in the Cluster Springs Cemetery.
