James Earl Cook, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away May 30, 2006, at Healthmark Regional Medical Center.
Cook was born June 2, 1944, the son of James and Lillie Leavins Cook. Cook was a lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs. He served in armed services. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for over 30 years. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.
Cook was preceded in death by his father, mother, and one sister, Kathleen Hinson, and one brother, Gary Wayne Cook.
Cook is survived by a son, Michael and his wife, Rachel, and two grandchildren, Kolby and Landon Cook, of Freeport, FL. He is also survived by three sisters, Mary De Berry, of Kansas, Carrie Powers, of DeFuniak Springs, and Inez Cook, of DeFuniak Springs, and one brother, Jessie Franklin Cook, of DeFuniak Springs.
There will be no services for James Earl Cook at this time.
