Joel Ray Wallace, 75, passed away June 23, 2006 in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. He was born Oct. 19, 1930 in Soso, MS.
Wallace had been a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, FL since 2001 moving from Laurel, MS. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Faith Assembly Christian Church. ,He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving his country in the United States Air Force. He worked in maintenance at Jones County Community Hospital in Laurel, MS. He enjoyed working in the yard.
Wallace was predeceased in death by his father and mother, wife, Dorothy Parker Wallace, and one sister, Dorothy Hill.
Wallace is survived by his two sons, Joel Shannon Wallace and wife, Christine, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Mark Shane Wallace of Santa Rosa Beach.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with Rev. Leon Carmichael officiating.
