Laura Bell, nine-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McLendon of southeast of DeFuniak, met death Sunday afternoon when she fell from a truck in which the family were riding. No bruises or hurts of any nature were [discernible] on the child’s body, but her death occurred shortly afterward. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. J. R. White, pastor of the DeFuniak Springs First Baptist church.
