Lee R. McDaniel

Lee R. McDaniel, 81, of DeFuniak Springs, FL was born in Farwell, TX, to parents Blanch and Raymond McDaniel in 1924. He married Jaquetta Lea Strickland in1946. They were high school sweethearts. He was a loving and wonderful husband and father.

McDaniel served three years in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Texas Tech University and received a degree in electrical engineering and went into the aerospace industry in 1950 and worked coast to coast, at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg Air Force bases for 25 years. He then went into real estate and ran his own company for 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Cyber Club.

McDaniel is survived by his wife, Jaquetta, of 59 years; four children, Tracy Lee Janson, of Port Orange, FL, Dana R. McDaniel, of Lakeside, CA, David K. McDaniel of Stuart, FL, and Leslie A. McDaniel; seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

We will all miss him so much. His love and understanding, we will never forget.

Services were held at Jerry Evans Chapel. National Cremation Society was entrusted with arrangements.
