On March 20, 2008, God called Leon Doyle Moseley home after a very long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 74 years old and resided in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pope Lloyd and Alimae Collinsworth Moseley. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Virginia Jones Moseley; son, Larry Doyle Moseley and wife, Louise of St. James, New York; daughter, Gerry Griffith and husband, Danny of DeFuniak Springs; brother, L. Curtis Moseley and wife, Margaret of Caryville, Florida; sister, Monette Ward and husband, Loyce of Darlington, Florida; grandchildren, Johnny Doyle Moseley and wife Alisa, of Hamilton, Virginia; Lori Bethea and husband Robert of Tallahassee, Florida; Cynthia Bihm of Montclair, Virginia; Kristy Griffith of Atlanta; Larry Moseley Jr., Joseph Moseley, Rachel Moseley and Vincent Moseley all of St. James, New York; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He is also survived by a mother-in-law, Bessie Jones, a sister-in-law Ronice Adams and husband, Earl; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
In celebration of Doyle’s life, a visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue; DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2008, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with Pastor L. Curtis Moseley officiating. Graveside service will follow at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Averil, Dewayne Bunge, Joey Collinsworth, Carl Gillman, Stephen Matthews and Burt cosson. Honorary pallbearers are Tyrone Cosson, Eddie Ferris, Loren Slick, James Ward and Ronnie Hughes.
