Marie Masi

Marie Masi, 79, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away August 6, 2006, in DeFuniak Springs. She was born June 21, 1927, in Samson, AL, to Oscar and Ollie Weeks Owens.

Masi had been a resident of DeFuniak Springs since 1977 moving from California. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs. She enjoyed attending church, traveling, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Masi was predeceased by her father and mother; one brother, Edward Owens; two grandchildren, Jonathan Lloyd Stone and Courtney Leigh Wilkinson.

Masi is survived by her husband, Angelo Joseph Masi, son, David Stone and, wife, Chris, of Marietta, GA; two daughters, Sharon Rootes and husband, Dennis, of DeFuniak Springs, and Debra Rubeck and husband, Rick, of Centerpoint, IN; one brother, Fred Owens and wife, Joyce, of Kansas; three sisters, Ouida Pitts, of DeFuniak Springs, Dorothy Petty and husband, Newton, of Sweet Gum Head, FL, and Ollie Koch and husband, Jack, of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren, Vicki, Danielle, Jennifer, Heath, Heather, Drew, and Matthew, and six great- grandchildren, Ashley, Camren, Rachael, Samantha, Sierra, and Gracie.

Funeral services were conducted, Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Chumley officiating.

Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery.
