Marshall James Lightfoot Sr., 57, a resident of DeFuniak Springs for the last 27 years, died unexpectedly Monday night at his residence.
He was a native of Farmington, III., and was a pharmacist and owner of the Lightfoot Drug Store and the Lightfoot Hotel here. He was the Florida Camp treasurer of the Woodmen of the World, a member of Morocco Shrine Temple of Jacksonville, the Knights Templar of Commandery 25 of Crestview and the Downer’s Grove Lodge No. 824, F & AM. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs.
Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Comander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. 0. Willham officiating.
Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. Isabelle Lightfoot of DeFuniak Springs; a son, Marshall James Lightfoot Jr. of Chicago, III.; three daughters, Mrs. Ramona Fontaine of Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Leona Rancourt of Waterville, Maine and Mrs. Betty L. Ritzman of DeFuniak Springs; two brothers, Ancel Lightfoot of Eureka, IlI., and Ira Lightfoot of Farmington III.; two sisters. Mrs. Zella Herring of Peoria, III., and Miss Orpha Lightfoot of Farmington; and nine grandchildren.
