Nancy Lee Yates, 61, of DeFuniak Springs, FL passed away Aug. 21, 2006 in DeFuniak Springs. She was born May 22, 1945 in Belfast, ME.
Yates had been a resident of Walton County for the past 14 years. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Darlington, FL. She worked in accounting for Wal-Mart and she also had worked for Winn Dixie. She also owned and operated a tax and accounting business through her home. She enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Yates was predeceased by her father and mother, and step-father, Jack.
Yates is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wade L. Yates, of DeFuniak Springs; four sons, Donnie Yates and wife, Anita, of Gaskin, FL, Jeffery Yates and Darren Yates, both of DeFuniak Springs, and Michael Yates and wife, Jennifer, of Crestview, FL; one daughter, Dianna Yates, of DeFuniak Springs; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Thigpen officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
