DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Preston Taunton, 74, of Freeport, Fla., died late Friday evening in a Niceville hospital.
Mr. Taunton was a native and lifelong resident Walton County, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Taunton of Freeport; a daughter, Deborah Ann Daniel of Crestview; two sisters, Vera Lee Brinson of Freeport, and Ruth Woods of Fort Walton Beach; four brothers, Dallas Taunton and Charlie Taunton, both of Bonifay, Kenneth and Leon Taunton, both of Freeport; and two grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Taunton will be 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of
