Syble Webster

Syble Webster, 75, of Darlington, FL, passed away July 21, 2006, in Geneva, AL. She was born Oct. 12, 1930, in Ino, AL, to Bertie and Alice Spann Burkett.

Webster had been a resident of Walton County most all of her life. She was Pentecostal by faith and a member of the Outreach for Christ Church in Darlington. Webster was a loving wife, mother and granny. She enjoyed fishing, quilting and raising chickens.

Webster was predeceased by her father and mother, Bertie and Alice Spann Burkett; brothers, Morris Burkett, Jimmy Dee Burkett, and I.D. Burkett; sisters, Vivian Dukes and Hilda Dillard.

Webster is survived by her husband of 56 years, William E. Webster of Darlington; her children, Douglas E. Webster and wife, Vicky, of Freeport, FL, Lenita Ealum and husband, Doug, of Glendale, FL, Ray Webster and wife, Sharon, of Darlington, Diann Scroggins and husband, Gerald, of Darlington, and Clay Webster and wife, Brenda, of Darlington; nine grandchildren, Donnie Ealum and wife, Maridee, of Glendale, FL, Tina Rushing and husband, Greg, of Glendale, Mark Ealum, of Glendale, Melissa Webster, of Long Beach, CA, Brandon Webster of Freeport, FL, Magen Scroggins, of Atlanta, GA, Tabitha Scroggins, of Glendale, Joshua Webster and wife, Jenna, of Darlington, and Cory Webster, of Darlington, and six great-grandchildren. Webster is also survived by her brothers and sisters, H.T. Burkett and wife, Margaret, of Pensacola, FL, Billy Burkett and wife, Carol Sue, of Darlington, Earl Burkett and wife, Louise, of Darlington, Carl Burkett of Lake Placid, FL, Duncan Burkett, of Paxton, FL, Thelma Alford, of Darlington, and LeVail Spires, of Darlington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Outreach For Christ Church in Darlington, with Rev. Terry Smith officiating.

Those asked to serve as pallbearers were Ricky Burkett, Jimmy Harrison, Joey Harrison, Tommy Burkett Jeffery Harrison, Marty Dillard, Toby Burkett
and Jody Burkett.

Burial followed in the Darlington Baptist Church Cemetery.
