Teddy “Skeeter” Ray Cavender, 41, passed away July 4, 2006, in Destin, FL. He was born Sept. 4, 1964, in Edwards Air Force Base, California to Teddy and Garnett Cavender.
Skeeter had been a resident of Freeport, FL, for the past two years. He was Pentecostal by faith. He had spent most of his life in Crestview, FL. He graduated in 1982 from Crestview High School. He worked as an aircraft mechanic with Crestview Aerospace. He loved his family. He enjoyed ﬁshing and was a wonderful father.
Skeeter was predeceased in death by his mother, and one son, Joshua.
Skeeter is survived by his father, Teddy Cavender Sr., of Freeport; three sons, Levi and Coty Cavender, of Freeport, and Cary Cavender, of Laurel Hill, FL; one daughter, Crystal Cavender, of Cartersville, GA; three sisters, Tammy Boesel and Terri Cavender, of Freeport, and Christine Thody, of Blanco, TX.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Buck Dockery officiating.
Those [asked] to serve as pallbearers were Mike Smith, Levi Cavender, Scott Williams, Brad Carter, Mike Valentino, and Douglas Cavender.
Burial followed in the Almarante Cemetery in Laurel Hill, FL.
