Thelma Shuler Baker

Mrs. Thelma Baker, age 92, of DeFuniak Springs passed away February 10, 2008. She was born September 17, 1915 in Walton County, Florida to Gary and Ida Henderson Shuler.

Mrs. Baker had been a life long resident of Walton County. She was Presbyterian by faith and a member of the Glendale Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Choctawhatchee Hemoracallie Society, the Joy Club and Mary Vinson China Art Class and a member of the Order of Easter Star Glendale Chapter and also served as the Worthy Matron.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Baker, and two brothers W.A. Bill Shuler and Arnold Shuler, four sisters Edna Shuler Nelson, Jean Shuler Martinec, Alberta Godwin and Adrienne Plank.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her son Joseph Shuler Baker and wife Imogene; two granddaughters Alicia and Joanna and one great-grandson Stephen McCallister.

Visitation services will be conducted at 10:00~11:00 AM, Thursday, February 13, 2008 at Glendale Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 13, 2008 at Glendale Presbyterian Church, with Reverends Keith Andrews and Bill Young officiating. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to the Glendale Presbyterian Church at 9246 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. Pallbearers are Tommy McBroom, Jack Bell, W.A. Ray, Ronald Herring, Stosh Arnold and Dawson Moseley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Order of Eastern Star. Burial will follow in the Glendale Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
