Walter Harold Bullock, Sr.

TSgt. Walter Harold Bullock Sr., 74, went to join the Lord on January 9, 2008. Walt was born June 17, 1933, in Middletown, New York, and graduated from Whitney Point High School. After Sarge Bullock served in the United States Air Force for 23 years and worked at the Walton State Correctional Institution for 8 years, Walt finally turned his dreams into reality by retiring on a lake in Mossy Head. In this special place he could fish, swim, boat, and enjoy family.

Walt is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dot Pryor Bullock. He is also survived by his first wife, Beatrice S. Baker, who is the mother of Walter Jr, Linda, Sandra, Gary, Wanda and Larry. Sons include: Walter Harold, Jr. (Donna), St. Petersburg, Florida.; Gary Patrick, Aurora, Illinois; Larry Michael, New York City, New York; Tom Madden, Mossy Head, Florida; Lee Maddan (Tamara), Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Robert Maddan (Jane), Fort Bellmore, Virginia. Daughters include: Linda Sue, Columbia, South Carolina; Sandra Lee (Dennis), Elgin, South Carolina; Wanda Ann (Doug), Lawrenceville, Georgia; Mary O’Daniels (Robert), Mossy Head, Florida. Grandchildren include Howard Brown and numerous others. Great-grandchildren include Alex Brown and also numerous others. Walt was one of four children raised by Clarence Irving and Ruth Alma Williams of Middletown, New York.

Walt is survived by two siblings, Clarence (Carol), Belvidere, New Jersey; Gladys Buckbee (Wisner), Warwick, New York, and pre-deceased younger brother Leo is survived by his wife Isabella, Warwick, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Mossy Head, 92 Hinote Rd., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433,to purchase Gideon Bibles in Walt’s memory.
