William Frank Gustafson, Sr.

Mr. William Frank Gustafson Sr., age 80, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away January 3, 2008. He was born December 29, 1927 in Greenwood, Nebraska to Hardy and Dora Bell Gustafson.

Mr. Gustafson was a veteran of WWII serving his country in the United States Army. He loved to go to Country Dances and Music Bluegrass Festivals. He was also a professional painter at Eglin for forty years. William loved to play Country music with all his friends. He also played Country music for forty years in many Country bands. He always loved to play his Gibson guitar with his friends. He moved from Niceville to DeFuniak Springs in 1997.

Mr. Gustafson was preceded in death by his father and mother, his first wife Addie Luteal Gustafson.

Mr. Gustafson is survived by his wife Robbie Sue Gustafson; four step- sons Stacy DeWayne Nix, Chris Nix, Gene Nix and Shanon McDougold; one daughter Dora Gustafson Hughes and husband Jackie and one son William Frank Gustafson Jr., two grandsons William Todd Hughes and wife Rena Hughes and Gavin McCurley and one great granddaughter Alyssa Rose Hughes of Akron, Ohio. Also survived by extended family and many friends.

A time of visitation will be held at 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, January 5 , 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Florala Assembly of God Church in Florala, Alabama, with Reverends Ray Bundy and Joel Glenn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Florala, Alabama.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.
