William Guy Fannin

William Guy Fannin, 84, passed away June 15, 2006 at his residence in Freeport, FL. He was born April 2, 1922, in Walton County, FL to Perry and Bertha Infinger Fannin.

Fannin had been a lifelong resident of Black Creek Community. He was Methodist and a member of Black Creek United Methodist Church. He worked for over 25 years with Armstrong Cork Company and also with Louisana Pacific. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in the garden. He also enjoyed building boat paddles and spending time with his great-grandchildren.

Fannin was predeceased by his father and mother, and one son, Larry Fannin, and three brothers, Robert, J .C. and W.C. Fannin.

Fannin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dovie Lou Fannin, of Black Creek; one step son, Roy Houseman and wife, Diane, of DeBerry, FL; daughter, Bertha Beaver and husband, Roger, of Freeport, FL; sister, Ann Smith of Black Creek; six grandchildren, Kris Heig and husband, Derek, Roy Houseman II, Perry Fannin and wife, Michelle, Jeffery Causey and wife, Amber, Jared Houseman and Ashley Houseman, and five great-grandchildren, Zachery, Dylan, Taylor, Caitlynn, and Emily.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Black Creek United Methodist Church, with Revs. LaVelle Enterkin and Gary Lee officiating.

Burial followed in the Black Creek Cemetery.
