William Marion Martin

Rev. William Marion Martin 83, of 107 13th St., DeFuniak Springs, died Thursday morning [May 13, 1965] in a local hospital following a long illness.

A native of Geneva County, Alabama, Mr. Martin had resided in this community since 1918 and was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Comander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.O. Carroll officiating.

Survivors include four sons, Monroe [Young] Martin of DeFuniak Springs, [Raleigh R.] Martin of Carrabelle, [Rosemond] Eugene Martin of Destin and William R. Martin of Caryville; one daughter, Mrs. Voncile [Isaacs] of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. EwelI Carroll of Pensacola, Mrs. Vernell Chancy of Dothan, Ala. and Mrs. Minnie Smith of Washington, D.C.; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
