William Vernon Trotman

DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — William Vernon Trotman, 47, of Kidd Road, DeFuniak Springs, died Sunday [April 23, 1972].

He was a native and life-long resident of Walton County. He was head of the Social Studies Department at Okaloosa Walton Junior College and was formerly employed by the Walton County School System. He was a veteran of WWI II and the Korean conflict, member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors Include his widow, Mrs. Loyce J. Trotman; two sons, Charles William Trotman and Steve Trotman, all of DeFuniak Springs; his mother, Mrs. Annie Trotman of DeFuniak Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Altha Houston of DeFuniak Springs, Mrs. Lula Stalsburg of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Dahlia Cunningham of Boring, Ore. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. D. B. McCurley and Dr. J. E. McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery with Comander Funeral Home directing.
