Amos Sanford Adams

Amos S. Adams, 88, died Thursday in a Florala, Ala, hospital.

A native of Geneva County, Ala., he had lived in DeFuniak Springs for 20 years, where he was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Comander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Sauls, the Rev. Cary Richards and the Rev. Stalen Lynn officiating.

Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lula Adams; five sons, Hosie Adams, Frank Adams, Delmar Adams, Virgel Adams, all of DeFuniak Springs; and Sanford Adams of Bartow; five daughters, Della Mae Sanders of Osark, Ala., Mrs. Annie Mae Andrewartha of North Arlington, N. J., Mrs. Irene Burkett of DeFuniak Springs, Mrs. Myrle Teal of Newberry, S. C. and Mrs. Grace Price of Buddlake, N.J.; 39 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
