Andrew Callender Supplee Smyth

The Rev. Andrew Callender Supplee Smyth departed this life at his late home, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, on Monday, January 3rd, 1916. Mr. Smyth was born in Philadelphia, Pa., January 2nd, 1851. He received his education at the Parochial School, Bethlehem, Pa. He married Louisa Amelia Grunert, daughter of the late Bro. Max Grunert, September 21, 1880.

From 1878 to 1880 Mr. Smyth was a teacher in the Training School in Jamaica, West Indies. From 1880 to 1886 Missionary at Irwin Hill, Carmel, Carrisbrook and Fairfield, Jamaica. In 1884 he was elected a member of the Jamaica P. E. C. From 1886-1898 he served in the mission in the island of Antigua, after which he entered the service of the Anglican Church in Jamaica. At the time of his death Mr. Smyth was in the service of the Protestant Episcopal Church. His widow, three sons, one grandchild, two brothers and one sister survive.
