Anita Ethel Gainey

Mrs. Anita Ellis Gainey, 39, of Millard Gainey Road, DeFuniak Springs, died early Saturday morning at her home.

Mrs. Gainey was a native and lifelong resident of Walton County, an active member of the First Baptist Church and a legal secretary for the circuit judge in Walton County.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Gainey; her son, Raymond Todd Gainey; her daughter, Laura Ann Gainey; her father and mother, Bill and Ethelene Ellis, all of DeFuniak Springs; her brother, Charles E. Ellis of Memphis, Tenn.; and her maternal grandmother, Laura V. Daughtery of Niceville, Fla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Harkey officiating.

Burial will follow In Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randall Griner, David Green, Judge Clyde Wells, Judge Bob Lindsey, Allen Ramey, Jim Wise, Bill Chapman and Randy Ellis.

The family is accepting flowers, while memorials may be made to the Anita Gainey Trust Fund in care of Sun First National Bank of DeFuniak Springs.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 tonight.
