Annie Laura Smith, 78, passed away July 5, 2006, in Niceville, FL. She was born Jan. 9, 1928 in Freeport, FL to Perry and Bertha Infinger Fannin.
Smith had lived most of her life in Freeport. She was Methodist by faith and a member of the Black Creek Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and fishing and above all spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Smith was predeceased by her father and mother, her husband, Barney Smith, one son, Roger Rowles, and one son-in-law, Billy Fannin.
Smith is survived by her two sons, Billy Rowles, of Freeport, and Robert James Rowles, of Ponce de Leon; three daughters, Barbara Fannin, of Freeport, Becky Campbell and husband, Danny, of Ponce de Leon, and Rosemary Tighe and husband, Don, of Gas City, IN; three step-sons, Terry Smith and wife, Melinda, of Darlington, FL, Steve Smith and wife, Sandy, of DeFuniak Springs and Wayne Smith, of Darlington; nine grandchildren, Mae, Roger Jr. Robby, Christa, David, Sharon, Waylon, Amanda, David, and Dennis; six step-grandchildren, Kaycee, Kelly, Hannah, Emily, Nathan, Hailey, and Timothy; 14 great grandchildren, Bryce, Matthew, Ashley, Sarah, Kristen, Marcus, Danny, Miguel, Malacie, Marissa, Nathan, Devin, and Melody, and two great-great-grandchildren, Jayonna and Nakiya.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 10, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, with Reverends David Wilson and Terry Smith officiating.
Burial followed in the Black Creek Cemetery.
