Mr. Ballard S. Edgar, age 62, a resident of 1502 Van Buren Avenue, died Sunday morning in a local hospital. He was a native of Coffee County, Alabama, but was a long-time resident of Walton County. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Comander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wilburn Cotton officiating, with interment following in the Magnolia Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Dessie W. Edgar, DeFuniak Springs, three daughters, Mrs. Gloria Pippin, Port St. Joe, Mrs. Joyce Parmele, Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, and Mrs. Gail Hicks, DeFuniak Springs, two brothers, Mr. Floyd Edgar, Mobile, Ala., and Mr. Tank Edgar, Pensacola, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Liza Davis and Mrs. Cassie Burke, both of DeFuniak Springs. There are seven grandchildren.
