Mr. Bernard Davies, age 85, of Freeport, Florida passed away July 5, 2008. He was born September 25, 1922 in Portsmouth, England to Bernard and Lillian Banford Davies.
Mr. Davies had been a resident of Freeport for the past 10 years. He was Protestant by faith. He was an Automotive Engineer, having worked in the Automotive Industry for 51 years. He was an avid reader, he enjoyed making home repairs, car repairs, traveling with his RV and loved all animals especially his Golden Retriever Max . He also enjoyed dancing and Jazz music.
Mr. Davies was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Doreen Elliott and his son-in-law Mel Kjergaard.
Mr. Davies is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Laura M. Davies of Freeport, Florida, one daughter Kim Davies Kjergaard of Denver, Colorado, one grand dog Winston and one grand cat Merlin.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 10, 2008 at First United Methodist Church of Freeport, with Reverend Charles Satterwhite officiating.
Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be made to the Alaqua Animal Refuge at 914 Whitfield Road, Freeport, Florida 32439.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
