Bruce M. Pease

Bruce M. Pease, 70, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away suddenly Thursday, October 26, 2006, at the family residence. He was born May 25, 1986 in Rochester, New York, the son of Dorsey Mark and Marie Poteria Pease. He had been active with the Lima, New York, Fire Department and had also been associated part time with the ambulance service. After his retirement from Eastman Kodak in 1991, he and his family moved to DeFuniak Springs in 1993. He was a member of the Mossy Head Fire Department, where he had served as president. He was employed with Sandestin Beach Resort, where he had worked for ten years at the time of his death. He was an avid hunter, a Tampa Bay fan and a Buffalo Bills fan.

Among survivors are his wife, Lois Pease, of DeFuniak Springs; his daughters, Judi Allison and husband, Rich, DeFuniak Springs, and Patricia Marie Davis and husband, Mark, of Anna Maria Island, FL; his brother, Raymond Pease and wife, Karen, of Dallas; and his sister, Elizabeth Krager and husband, Raymond, of Rochester, New York; his brother-in-law, Gerald C. Curney, of Lockport, New York, and his granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Allison and Laura Ann Allison.

Memorials may be made in Pease’s memory to Moffitt Cancer Center, Post Office Box 668, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Pallbearers were Tommy Thompson, Mark Davis, Rich Allison, Stanely Donald, Richie Berner, Bill Pease, and William Dunne.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 30, 2006, in Jerry Evans Chapel, with Brother Mike McVay officiating. Masonic services followed and burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
