Carl Clifton Clark

Mr. Carl Clark, age 96, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida passed away February 5, 2008. He was born September 6, 1911 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Holland and Daisy Williams Clark.

Carl was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Faith Baptist Church on Titusville, Florida. He attended the University of Arkansas and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, having operated cranes, building bridges, dams, and also worked at Cape Canaveral. He was present at first Moon Launch. He was an avid golfer and an accomplished music writer.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Holland Clark and Daisy Williams and his wife Vera Clark.

Carl is survived by his one son Jim Clark and wife Evelyne of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; one daughter Barbara McQuagge and husband Charlie of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; one sister Mary Louise Smith of Vancover, Washington; three grandchildren Bonnie McQuagge, Jay Clark and Kristin Jenkins and five great-grandchildren Kacie, Kirby, Clark, Justin and Jaynie.

Family will receive friends from 9:00~10:00AM, Monday, February 11, 2008 at Grissom Funeral Home; 803 West Emmett , Kissimmee, Florida 34741. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Rose Hill Cemetery, in Kissimmee, Florida, with Pastor Jeremy Coppock officiating.
