Mrs. Carlene King Miller, 23, of 304 N. 6th St., died Monday afternoon as a result of gunshot wounds.
She was a native of Walton County and a member of the Davis Lane Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Comander Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Comander Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her widower, William Henry Miller; two daughters, Frances Ethelene and Marlene Miller; two sons, Billy Joe and Robert Ray Miller, all of DeFuniak Springs; five brothers, Thomas King, Edward Earl King and Willie King, all of Pensacola, Kenneth Wayne King and Tolly Ray King, both of DeFuniak Springs; six sisters, Mrs. Martha Ann Collinsworth, Pensacola, Jeannette King, Linda Sue King, Sarah Louise King, Theresa King and Mary Ellen King, all of DeFuniak Springs; her father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. King; and her grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Allen Heath, all of DeFuniak Springs.
Mrs. Miller Dies from Self-inflicted Gun Shot Wound
Mrs. Carlene Miller died Monday at approximately noon from what investigating officers said was a self inflicted gun shot wound.
She was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Chief Deputy Sheriff Fred Respress told this newspaper Tuesday, that Mrs. Miller shot herself with a .22 pistol.
She was the wife of William Miller. The Millers and their children lived on North 5th Street in DeFuniak Springs.
Respress revealed that Mrs. Miller left a note explaining her action.
