Ceaton Dickey, age 22, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away September 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. He was born July 11, 1986 to Ronald and Ada Sue Dickey.
Ceaton was a resident of DeFuniak Springs. He attended Walton High School and followed to Gulf Coast Community College for his EMT certification. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fixing and working on his car, going to work, water sports, fishing, baseball, music, played guitar and drums and spending time with family and friends. His greatest interest was saving lives on his job as an EMT; he had plans to continue his career in the life saving business by attending Firefighter School and later becoming a SWAT paramedic. He was always up for a challenge and never backed down. He was a genuine handyman, jack of all trades. He participated in plumbing, carpentry, roofing, framing, and pretty much any and everything that could be done with his hands. His family and friends played a huge part in his life, career, and as a person in whole. Not only was he a life saver and handyman he had a wonderful personality and awesome sense of humor, always the one playing the practical jokes and making you laugh, never was there a dull moment with Ceaton as a son, brother, and friend. And with our loss, Ceaton will live on and continue his legend of saving lives by being very passionate for organ donation and due to this passion he will be able to reach out and touch five more lives to prevent their families from experiencing a tragic loss of a loved one. Ceaton is and always will be a true HERO!
