Cindy-Alisa Taylor

Cindy-Alisa Taylor, 41, beloved daughter and baby sister born March 11, 1965, was taken by angels to be with her Lord in Heaven at 1:07 p.m. on Oct. 29, 2006. She was born in Mobile, AL moved to Pensacola in 1966 at age one.

Taylor attended Lutheran Redeemer School, graduated from Catholic High, and received her associate degree from Pensacola Junior College. She graduated from Florida State University with honors, at top of her graduating class with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Management in 2002. She was a member of the Garnet Keys. She was Catholic High representative for Junior Miss in 1978 and was Escambia County Spirit of Junior Miss.

Taylor married a naval aviator, and lived at various naval bases throughout the US. She returned from Seattle, Washington to the Gulf Coast in 1998 in poor health. She had not been a member of the workforce for 11 years. She knew that she would require a special job to support herself so she went back to school to complete her degree. During this time she worked at Sandestin Real Estate and Abbott Real Estate on 30A. After graduation she found her dream job with the South Walton Chamber.

When her health started to decline she was forced to leave the chamber. God opened another door for her with Jim and Joanna Boswell. They offered her a job working between Room Maker Flooring Covering showroom and her home. She walked into a job she loved and that challenged her ability. When James Boswell took over the business he kept her with him until she was declared terminal in August of 2005.

Taylor is survived by her mother and father, Ludean Ostrom and Kenneth R. Taylor, of Pace, FL; sisters, Melvie Kim Taylor (Boo), of Jacksonville, FL and Pamela Ann McMullen, of Florence KY; nephew, Joseph Taylor McMullen; niece, Mariah McMullen, of Florence, KY; Godchild and niece, Ashley Alisa McMullen, of Jacksonville; an uncle, James W.
