Clarence Love

Clarence Vernon Love died June 14 surrounded by family and the caring staff at Crystal Bay in Sandestin. Vernon was born Dec. 11, 1920 in St. Louis, MO to Frank “Gordan” Love and Emelia Emig Love. He married Mary “Charlotte” Schoen in that city on June 20, 1942. He served on the USS Enoree during World War II.

Vernon was a lover of nature, animals, target shooting and a Mason. He was a tool and die maker at Chrysler Corporation before he retired in 1979.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Charlotte and his daughters, Lynne ( Mrs. WM Stephenson), of Santa Rosa Beach, and Nancy (Mrs. Donald Darish), of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Barry Darish, Laura Stephenson, Paul Stephenson and great-grandchildren Will, Emily and David Stephenson.

Love will be interred at Jefferson Barracks at a later date.
