Clarence Uniola Lockard

Rev. Clarence Uniola Lockard, 86, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away Oct. 15, 2006, in Crestview, FL. He was born June 15, 1920 in Alabama to Roland and Mary Lockard.

Reverend Lockard was a resident of DeFuniak Springs for the past 33 years. He was Holiness by faith. He worked with Florida State Road Department for over 16 years. He was also an ordained minister, pasturing and evangelizing for over 30 years. He enjoyed working in the yard and fishing.

Lockard was predeceased by his father and mother, and his wife, Valerie Lockard.

Lockard is survived by his two sons, Don Lockard and wife, Mary Ellen, of Plant City, FL and Johnny Mack Lockard and wife, Sandra, of LaGrange, GA; two daughters, Margaret Curry and husband, John, of DeFuniak Springs, and Patricia Ann Jernigan and husband, Leon of Niceville, FL; three sisters, Mary Nelson, of New Orleans, LA, Ann Smith, of Apopka, FL, and Billy Jo Whitlock and husband, Henry, of St. Petersburg, FL; 12 grandchildren, Linda Kay, Joann, Bo, Tina, Valerie, John Boy, Crystal, Felicia, Heather, Mark, Robert, and Michael. He was also survived by numerous great grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at Auburndale Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. John Callaway officiating.
