Daniel Joseph Homza, 46, of Mississippi, passed away Jan. 22, 2007 in Mississippi. He was born May 9, 1960 in Rapid City, S.D. to Joseph and Mabel Padgett Homza.
Homza had been a resident of Pascagoula, MS, originally from Walton County. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed forces serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed writing poetry and writing songs and several of his songs have been recorded on numerous compact disc.
Homza was predeceased by his father Joseph Homza.
Homza is survived by his mother, Ruth Homza, of Pleasant Grove Community; two brothers, David Earl Homza and wife, Oksana, of Tampa, FL and Thomas Michael Homza and wife, Lisa, of Altus Air Force Base, OK.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with Revs. Kenneth Harrison, and Tony Dixon officiating.
Burial followed in the pleasant Grove Cemetery.
