Daniel Wilks, 83, of Ponce De Leon died Sunday morning in a local hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Wilks, a native of Chesterfield County, S. C., had resided In Ponce De Leon for the past four years. He had resided In Lake City.
He was a member of the First [Baptist] Church in Ponce De Leon.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First [Baptist] Church in Ponce De Leon, with Rev. R. W. Hovis officiating.
Burial will be In the Sand Creek Cemetery. Comander Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Clark of DeFuniak Springs and Mrs. Celia Scott of Graceville; and a brother, D. F. Wilks of Lake City.
His body will remain at Comander Funeral Home Chapel until time of services.
