David Edward Brotherton

David Edward Brotherton, 67, of the Red Bay Community passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006. He was born Dec. 31, 1938 in Chattanooga, TN, the son of James Edward and Mary Ruth Beard Brotherton. He moved to this area some twenty years ago after working with Florida Light and Power. He worked as a lineman with CHELCO for three years later opening D & G Salvage. Later he worked with [Armbruster] Realty and most recently for the past three years as owner and broker of Ironhorse Realty. He is predeceased by his father and a sister, Nona Holcomb.

Among survivors are his wife, Gayl Mikeska Brotherton; his mother, Ruth Kausal, of Hollywood, FL; his sister, Linda Brickman and husband, Dick, of Hollywood; his father-in-law, Dr. J. E. Mikeska and wife, Gayle, of Albany, TX; his mother-in-law, Ina Dudley and husband, John, of Nolan, TX; his sisters-in-law, Diane Burton, of Cisco, TX, Kathy Shick and husband, Glen, of Corpus Cristi, TX, Jane Rodriguez and husband, Santiago, of Abilene, TX, and Tina Darby of Albany; his brothers-in-law, Mike Mikeska and wife, Cherry, of Abilene, Joe Mikeska and Glen Burnie, of Maryland.

Memorials may be made in Brotherton’s memory to Covenant Hospice, 370 West Redstone Avenue, Crestview, FL 32536. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 from 4 until 6 p.m. in Jerry Evans Chapel.

Funeral services will be held in Hollywood, FL at a later date.
