Edmund William Burback, Sr.

Edmund William Burbach, Sr., 76, passed away June 29, 2006, at his residence in Freeport, FL. He was born May 28, 1930 in St. Louis, MO, to Edmund and Nioma Barnes Burbach.

Burbach had been a resident of Freeport for the past 19 years moving from St. Louis. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving his country in the United States Navy with over four years of service. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He also worked as the Director of Engineering Operations at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Division. He was known for his love of animals and wildlife.

Burbach is preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Fredrick Burbach and Nioma Barnes Burbach; his grandparents, Edmund August Burbach and Marie Burbach, and one brother, Dennis Burbach.

Burbach is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marianne A. Burbach, of Freeport; two sons, Edmund W. Burbach Jr., of Palm Harbour, FL, and Boyd James Burbach, of St. Louis; three daughters, Allyn Marie Marvel, Tracy Lindsey, and Leslie Cardinale and husband, Frank, all of St. Louis; three brothers-in-law, Robert Schumacher and wife, Jill, Richard Schumacher and wife, Jeannette, and David Schumacher and wife, Sally; eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorialization was by cremation with no services per Mr. Burbach’s wishes.
