Edward Earl Jordan

Mr. Edward Earl Jordan, 56, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away Feb. 2, 2007 in DeFuniak Springs. He was born Nov. 9, 1950 in Paxton, FL to William and Mozell McCall Jordan.

Jordan had been a lifelong resident of Walton County. He was Holiness by faith.

Jordan was predeceased by his father and mother, and brother Clifford Wayne Jordan.

Jordan is survived by his wife, Joan Jordan, of DeFuniak Springs; one son, Robert Ashley Jordan, of DeFuniak Springs; four daughters, Mary Mozell Jordan, Talina Denine Jordan, Theresa Dianne Wood and Cynthia Talbott, all of DeFuniak Springs; three step-daughters, Wanda Harrison, Kimberly Addison and Angela Fernan, all of DeFuniak Springs; nine brothers, James Jordan of Bainbridge, GA, Thomas Jordan of Tallahassee, FL, Herman Jordan, of Southport, FL, Riley Jordan, of West Bay, FL, Willie Jordan, of New Harmony, FL, Donnie Jordan, of Slocomb, AL, Ronnie Jordan, of Southport, FL, Bobby Jordan, of Opp, AL and David Jordan of Vincen, IN. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Margie Sexton officiating.

Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Jerry Lee Simmons, Jerry Simmons Jr., Jackie Lee Simmons, Don Davidson, Andrew Nicks, and Jeremy Sexton.

Donations are being accepted to help with funeral expenses.
