Emily Alice Johnson Stone

Mrs. Emily Stone, age76, of Freeport, Florida passed away January 27, 2008. She was born February 27, 1931 in Osceola, Missouri to Eugene and Alice Johnson.

Mrs. Stone was a resident of Freeport. She was Methodist by faith and a member of the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. She was a musician; she also enjoyed crocheting for friends, family and disabled veterans, having received a State Award from the Daughters of the Americans Revolutions for her accomplishments for the Disabled Veterans. She worked as a Dispatcher for the Walton County Sheriffs Department for many years. She was also a member of TOPS, and the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband Steve Stone, her daughter Pam Stone and one brother Robert Johnson.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her two sons, Chip Stone and wife Carol of Port St. Joe, Florida and Mark Stone and wife Naomi of Panama City, Florida; one Daughter, Victoria Barnett and husband Arlon or Pensacola, Florida; one brother, William Farmer and wife Sue of Rock Port, Missouri and her closest friend, Norma Wallis of Lynn Haven, Florida. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, with Reverend Jim Luther officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM., Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 68 Palm Street, Freeport, Florida 32439. In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made to the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church Building Fund; 4501 Transmitter Road, Panama City, Florida 32404.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
